Collagraph Printmaking workshop with Adrian Spurr

Collagraph Workshop.jpgCollagraph printmaking is a wonderfully creative way to make a print and to be introduced to the printmaking process. We are offering a one day workshop on the 21st October. In the workshop, you will learn to create a  Collagraph using low relief materials like fabrics, tapes, leaves, feathers, and threads are glued to a cardboard plate to create an image. The plate is then inked and passed through a printing press.

Workshop participants will be asked to bring a variety of materials that can be cut and glued easily to cardboard you will be given the opportunity to use the printmaking press to create a small edition of your print. A fabulous way to familiarise yourself with the printmaking studio. If you find that you would like to do more printing you can always book to access the facilities at another time.

The workshop will be facilitated by Adrian Spurr who is a founder of Sunshine Print Artspace. Adrian has extensive experience teaching printmaking and exhibiting prints, drawings, and sculptures.

Block Printing Fun

Sunshine Print Artspace held the first workshop this weekend.  In this workshop participants learned how to make blocks using found objects and recycled materials. We then printed onto various fabrics and a  linen tea towel using textile printing inks. A great way to print onto fabric without the need for complex equipment or tools. Here are two happy workshop participants.

We have Lithography and Collagraph Printing coming up soon. You can book your place on our website
