Collagraph printmaking is a wonderfully creative way to make a print and to be introduced to the printmaking process. We are offering a one day workshop on the 21st October. In the workshop, you will learn to create a Collagraph using low relief materials like fabrics, tapes, leaves, feathers, and threads are glued to a cardboard plate to create an image. The plate is then inked and passed through a printing press.
Workshop participants will be asked to bring a variety of materials that can be cut and glued easily to cardboard you will be given the opportunity to use the printmaking press to create a small edition of your print. A fabulous way to familiarise yourself with the printmaking studio. If you find that you would like to do more printing you can always book to access the facilities at another time.
The workshop will be facilitated by Adrian Spurr who is a founder of Sunshine Print Artspace. Adrian has extensive experience teaching printmaking and exhibiting prints, drawings, and sculptures.
The prints below were produced by students attending our schools workshops.
